Absolutely, you can. Navcore_8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO_WORK_mod_X50.rar Read the instructions carefully.

Create a folder wherever you desire. Open your 750 in windows explorer. Copy the contents & paste into your created folder. Win 7 is asking you to format?

Don't format yet. Have you done a "Hard Reset"? The TomTom access in Windows Explorer is a "drive", not a folder.

Please check if have admin right on your PC and if you use any Firewall or Programm to monitor acces to CD drives (autostart blocked).
Sometimes these programs mess with the user settings in Win7.
You can try to connect the TT while it is off and after connecting you switch it on, that should bypas the Navcore and hopefully give you acces to the device.

For all interested I made a new 8.396 for the X50 models.
This time the kernel of the 9.160 Navcore is used in the hope to prevent of the problems like reboots.
You still have to use the menu function for shut down or hold the power button for 15sec. but the rest should be more stable now.
It is still a Navcore only for testing as the hardware of the X50 devices does not support the V8 Kernel at all.
Mixing a V8 and V9 Navcore can't be done without some problems at least.
For all that would like to try it was added to the old Truck version here.
I hope it solves some issues but can't make any promises.

this is how i install truck maps on ny tomtom 750 but when it tries to boot it freezes can you hellp ?
1. Put everything contained in this folder 8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO-WORK mod x X50
onto the root of the card.

(This is a premodded navcore specifically for 750's - no patching required)

2. Copy the file 'ttgo.bif' onto the root of the card.

3. Choose either truck map, 845 or latest 855_2926. Put one of them those
folders on the root of the card.

4. Copy Fastactivate.exe onto the root of the card.

5. Run fastactivate and select map button. The map will be patched.

6. Insert card into TomTom, from what I've read it will reboot after a short while and could take
upto 4 minutes for this to happen.
