I am using Europe_TRUCK_840_2554 which is activated to run on my TT unit

Then I run auto activate

Then keygen.exe and then TomTom-800x600.exe

It is still showing as no maps found

I bet it will be something so simple and that Im having a blonde moment

Will this work on a laptop if an external bluetooth gps is installed on the laptop, or is only for testing purposes?

Yes same question from me too. I got the map working by following the matrix and loading a map compatible with 7.9x ie. PDA navcore (doh!) so that's ok.
My laptop connects and works with a bluetooth GPS receiver for another navigation system (PC Navigator) but I can't configure it to work with this tomtom emulation, erghh!

No device emulator I know forwards the ports and protocols needed.
It should be possible though, but for a laptop there are better solutions than an outdated TT ;)
