TomTom GO 930

First thanks for this beautifull website!!
And sorry if my english is not perfect, i hope y''all can understand what i mean.

I have a TomTom GO 930. I wanted new maps for my tomtom so i downloaded 'Europe_930_5604'.

Officialy on my tomtom was the maps Western and central europe. I wanted the Europe.
So i downloaded, and i coppied/overwrited al the files what i downloaded to the map in the SD card.

Then i coppied the FastActivate to the SD card. I opent it and did the first step first.

1. Update Meta.txt. That went well. No error's. Patch 3, 4 and 6 also NO error's.
2. Patch maps. When i do that than this is what happens: ERROR, Now i dont know what to do? Please tell me. Thank you very much.

Extract the new map you downloaded to it's own folder (don't overwrite old map) then try again with FastActivate

Thank you, that worked. Is that al that i have to do? Is it done when it's patched? Or do i have to do more things?

Being as you've already patched your navcore, you're good to go but you might want to download the latest speedcam files from here and extract the relevant ones to your new map folder....then run FA again to patch them.

1 small problem!! You downloaded the WRONG map. Europe_930.5563 is the correct map for your 930!!

Yeah i thought so, because i cant swith to the map in the tomtom. It say's that i can not use this map in this tomtom. So now i am gonna download the map you said. I hope that that one works. Thank you very much.

This is the classic message when a map is not patched. Look for a .meta.dct file in the 5604 map folder. No file = not patched.

Ok i understand that. But if i understand you , first you said that it's the wrong map? So i MUST download the 5563 or not? I am downloading it now, about 3 hours its done, because of the slow speed as a free user.

1. Correct.
2. No, you don't have to d/l 5563. 5604 will work, but it is not full featured like 5563 is.

Im am already downloading the 5563 now. (No problem)

But if you say that the 5604 works? why does not work the 5604?? I have patched it. But when i choose the card in the tomtom it says you can't use it??

Confirm that you followed the instructions in post 9 & saw a meta.dct file in the 5604 map folder?

I already had removed the map with the 5604. So i dont know about the meta.dct. I am now gonna try the 5563. And i hope it works. I wil let you know. Thank you.

I coppied the 5563 and patched. It works. The only problem now is that the tomtom does not find the setaliets fast. It took 10 minutes at the window of my room. I hope outside tomorow it works faster. Is that a problem because the new map? I also did the quickgps patch.
