Do you have instructions over FM working with 9.101? Or just music?

Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:12 am

u dont need instructions for that....
it just works...
in AUDIO options, make sure output is FM TRANSMiTTER

Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:21 am

I didn't mean, do you have a tutorial.

I meant, can you receive spoken instructions over FM? Or just music?

In my output screen, for spoken instructions, I can only output via internal speaker, bluetooth or line out. For music, I can output via internal speaker, bluetooth, line out or FM.

I'm assuming my situation isn't normal?

Maybe I should change my model version? How do I go about doing that?

If you have only patched original CAB files, you cannot change.
If its a modded navcore, then follow instructions to set model emulation as needed - for TTusers SE, it was in model.txt or setconfig.txt.
Some Navcore ( because of OEM ) have this disabled because TomTom removed it as a distraction, so you will not enable it anyway you try.

yeah thing is, receiving spoken instructions over FM i never tried because my unit doesnt have FM....

but i remember that on NAvCore 8.351, i could listen to spoken instructions through my car speakers...

using an AUDiO CABLE that connects to my CD player directly....

of course i had to change my SPEAKER preferences on my TOMTOM....

but on NAvCOre 9.051 it never worked....

and on NavCore 9.101 i dont know.... didnt try it yet....

You can not have instructions via FM only music with all navcores, i think there is a Mirrelle edition going around that you can have instructions via FM but that is all i know about it sorry

Sun Jun 27, 2010 7:59 am

just use the AUDiO CABLE OUT option,,,

9.101 navcore doesn't even give me the option to have instructions and music over FM, it only allows me to have music only over FM.

8.351 and 8.395 navcores let me play music and instructions over FM.

Does anyone know which v9 navcores let you have instructions and music over FM?

Audio cable is already occupied by another device. Plus, I have a tape deck, not an Aux out in my car, and I hate listening to the cassette deck working (it's loud).

I repeat post 25. A lot of wasted posting could have been avoided if you had paid attention.

The FM Transmitter is an issue with them.

If I recall correctly, a few people posted after this that they had the FM transmitter working.

Given that I have no experience with this navcore, it's kind of hard to tell that they (the few people who posted) did not mean that the FM transmitter was completely working.
