TomTom 950 freezes at the start screen

Yesterday I got a TomTom live 950 from a colleague to set up new software.

First, as always, I made a backup of the current software and then hung the TomTom on TomTom home to download the latest navcore. This all goes without problems, restart TomTom and a ttgo.bif file is created nicely so that I can install a new card. Installing a new card also runs smoothly. Then activate everything with fastactivate and this goes well too. After the restart it goes wrong. TomTom gives the legal notification screen. After I click on the chord, the "home screen" comes up and from here the TomTom stops responding and the TomTom will restart after a minute to get back to the home screen.

I have tried to install several navcore's and maps. It also doesn't matter where I install everything, on the internal memory or on a microsd card, each time the TomTom freezes at the start screen.

If I now restore the backup I made, I have a working TomTom without problems.

What is going wrong?

See how you get on with that...if there's still a problem you might need to format > clear flash > reload from scratch

I have tried clear flash but unfortunately still the same problem.
If I install the last navcore via tomtom home, I also have the possibility to download the original Europa 950.6492 card. If I do this and activate the TomTom via fastactivate, I also have a working system. Exactly the same when I restore the backup.

I think something is wrong with the hardware of the tomtom.

I have the same problem. My XXL keeps rebooting.

2) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your Device.

3) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"

4) Copie the chosen map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

Select 1
After 1 go to the root Device and rename the file
Updated_meta.exe in
meta.exe
Select 2
Done.

And keep away from TomTom Home.

Maybe first trying to remove the file mapsettings.cfg ?
Sure when you try to use it from a former map version.

Next test you may do is reset your device
Connect it with your pc
Start TomTom Home
Start your TomTom device
Go to control my device
Now use navigate to and make a short route, start the demo and stop
Leave TomTom Home as you normal do, now the mapsettings.cfg file must written wih all his former settings in the right format for your new map

I've tried this method and got past the start up screen but in the menu when i choose the options it freezes again and reboots

Or do you get the message that the part you want to use is not compatible with your Windows version?
It's also my problem and still have no solution

I patched TomTom home but have the same compatible issue.

The problem lies within the map because version 1020 works with navcore 9.541.

I'm using map europe west.

Did you use already 9.510 which is in my opinion till now the best so far

Ok, first i thought this worked but i get the same problem with NC 9.510. The device freezes and reboots.

Something's wrong with map version 1025 (and it's not only the noforkey-error)

The forokeys is no problem at all, by not testing it directly, someone's comments got their own story.
When I started testing with my A_F_Activate, the patch was simply executed and the stories around it are already being rolled back.

But it could be that you have indeed retrieved a damaged file, in which case there is no other way than downloading again.

If it still does not work then send me your ttgo.bif file and I'll try to make it work here. Finally, I have a GO 950 Live too

I found the problem of freezing the TomTom. It was the TomTom premium speed cameras. If I installed these speed cameras the TomTom freezes. TomTom is working with the new 1025 cards again and I am happy.
