1. Why??
2. TT Home will install, 1 at a time, every navcore in between the navcore on your 720, when you started the update process & the current official navcore for your 720, which is 9.510. You have to keep running "Update My Go", until TT Home finally installs 9.510.
3. See point 2. There is no better.
4. Copy the Backup of your setup, that you created before you started this updating, onto your device. Download: [Please Register or Login to download file] + this pre-patched ttsystem file 9.510 SE ttsystem.rar.
Unzip both downloads. Copy the .cab files & folders onto your 720, overwriting any common files. Copy the ttsystem.rar files into the 720, overwriting any common files.
Disconnect & reboot.
5. OK.

Just by checking the tutorials you would have found your answer ;)
Same if would follow the instructions provided by Home - and keep updating until Home no longer offers an update.
How to get a map and install it is explained in the 910 map thread...

I have a 720 as well with 9.510 navcore stock. What would I need to do to update to a newer map?

Download & unzip a usable map of your choice. Remove the old map folder. Copy in the new map folder. Patch navcore & map with FastActivate 23.08.2013
Disconnect & reboot. Done.

How do I determine what usable map will work? I tried one called TomTom.-.USA.Canada.910.4892 and ran the FastActivate but it says the map will not work.

1. ALL usable maps will work in with a 720 & 9.510.
2. That message is typical for an unpatched map. No map .meta.dct file in the map folder = map not patched.
