tendriver, I installed 9.160.567967 and seems to be working well. The only problem I'm having now is when connected to TT Home it wants to install old app of 8.083. The check mark to deselect it is grayed out. I tried this fix, Open your 710's ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183
Save it as ttgo.bak
Disconnect & reboot.

It now generates a file ttgo.ori with the old numbers of 9160 & 567967.2
Even making this file read only doesn't help. It just regenerates on boot up.

Any solution to this problem? Thanks

Update: OK problem solved. Had to change the numbers to 8302 & 9738 Now everything works perfect.

Sorry I'm a major noob, not to sure what you mean.

Do I need to check my TomTom for this information?

At present my TomTom is un-hacked and factory default with UK and Ireland maps only. I want to add France for a trip I have tomorrow!

Make a backup of your current setup using Windows Explorer.
Go here: 865 maps with installer and FastActivate Read the instructions carefully. Select: France_865.3245 416mb

Ok will have a look, think I have posted in there as I couldn't find a download link for the software. Maps were downloading ok though. I'll have a second read of that thread.

have someone already practice and real result that work? THANK YOU!

Info about my TT settings now:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
BootLoaderVersion=55106
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8201
ApplicationVersion=9497

CurrentMap=Eastern_Europe_865_3259

The XL can be a bit tricky, but I know the Navcore 8.41 and 8.412 work pretty well on them.
If you want something with more features you can the 9.205 or 9.160 for 32mb devices from here ::link:

i have a doubt here... what do you call "widescreen" ??

For instance, TT XL Europe Edition 2009 / 2010 64 Mega Ram is it one of those?

As the name suggests: a device with a wide 16:9 screnn and not the small 4:3 screens.
And a XL is always widescreen.
