Put a copy of the device's ttgo.bif file on the card.
Go here: http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation&p=14459#post14459

Read the instructions carefully. Select the SE Navcore 9.205.

Follow these instructions to install the NA map below
Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions:
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sd card in your sd reader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched.

I did as the instruction, but when activated and I started the GPS it has a red background notice saying: Problem with map. You cannot use this map on this device: North_America-335

Please help...

Since the Navcore is already patched, i suppose, you now only need to patch the map.

Look for FastActivate ( can use other if you preffer) and patch the map (follow instructions how to use. It's very esay).

In case of doubt just leave a post

Confirm that you have on the card a copy of the device's ttgo.bif file, the Autoinstalled pre-patched 9.205 navcore & the Autoinstall & patch NA 870.3406 map.

To confirm that the map was correctly patched, open the map folder & look for both a .meta & a .meta.dct file.

I searched for keyword "fastactive" there is one under a signature of a mod, I clicked on it and it says "No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

I looked and saw that there is one Folder name "North_America_870_3406" which is more likely the map folder (there isnt any other folder that sounds like a map folder) so i looked inside and found only the this file name: North_America-335.meta
There is no filename.meta.dct
If it is not patched correctly, please guide me step by step as detail as possible since I'm kinda slow. Appreciate that!

I do have the ttgo.bif file, but the "Autoinstalled pre-patched 9.205 navcore & the Autoinstall & patch NA 870.3406 map" I'm not sure if you meant they were 2 folders? I closest I see on the card is 2 folder names as following: [email protected] AND North_America_870_3406

Ok I used fastactive preminum and run it then there are 4 buttons to click, I clicked all one by one, now when I start it, it has a red warning "None of the available voices can be used with the current language. You will not hear any spoken instruction" so I check on the card, the folder Sound is empty(??) how can I fix this? Thank you

First you can fix it by not making a new posting every few minutes!
Please check the tutorials as well, it is not good if you mess with your TT without having the slightest clue.
Check the forum section for the voices or use Home.

I'm sorry but I looked all around but I dont see any tutorial so I followed the one on page 38 and it doesnt work out as it is supposed to. When I removed the card the gps turned on auto located where I am but with the new system it is at somewhere in central park New York...and there is no feature to set Home address. I brought it outside for 30 mins hoping it will locate the place but it doesn't do anything!
All the guide you gave is just in general like
Downunder35m wrote:Check the forum section for the voice or use Home
, I suppose you meant "Voice" section then I went there but didn't see any topic like "How to install Voice for your GPS" they are only showing voice of this person, that person, well, how to put it into the gps is what I need to know. Anyway, maybe this forum is for smart people only who can read little but understand more! Maybe I just wait until Thanksgiving sale and buy myself a new gps! Thank you for getting me this far though! I appreciate it! I truly do. Thanks guys!

This indicates that the map is not patched.

This confirms that the map is not patched.

If you follow the instructions exactly, the "Automatic Navcore Installer" will install the pre-patched navcore where you tell it to.
If you follow the instructions exactly, the "Automatic Map Installer & Patcher" will install the map where you tell it to & then "auto-patch" it.

If you had followed all of the instructions exactly, there would be no need for you to use FastActivate.
There are no voices or a Sound folder included in the 9.205 Automatic Navcore Installer.
Non-TTS voices go in a created "Voices" folder.
VocalizerTTS voices go in a created "VocalizerTTS" folder.

Hi,

I have an old ONE v3 (with a 3.5" screen, 1GB, 32MB, no SD), I updated it to Navcore 9.101 (before finding your excellent site!) and it seems to work fine so far. Does any others v9 works on this device?

9.205 for the new Rider 3 is the ONLY 9.xxx navcore that is designed for a small screen, small memory unit. The other 9.xxx navcores don't fit properly on the navigation page.

My very old TomTom One XL was just updated to the 9.205 SE, but the navcore isn't stable: It takes a lot of time to calculate a route then it would reboot automatically. I have to say that I did struggle to get the map 870.206 patched and working so maybe I did something wrong. Do you think I should restart from zero again or try another navcore?
