klazpt wrote:As far as i know, SE means it's a patched and costumized Navcore. It has some features that you don't have in "normal" Navcores. Can be very interesting to use an SE version since you can "play" a little with your TT kinda "overlock" it, making it work almos as if it's a different version.

But there are in the Forum very good guys expert on this matter that can explain all for you.

SE = Special Edition. klazpt's description is very good. It is a patched version that allows a user to install and run a navcore on his/her device that is designed for a different device.

Thanks for the package,
Currently using Navcore v9.205.547817.1 OS547200 Boot 5.5259 Map Version Western_and_Central_Europe v875.3613 with IQ Routes. on TOMTOM GO 910
After a bit of fiddling unit works great.
The problem I had with the unit freezing and rebooting has now stopped. :)

I used the SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices file on my tomtom xxl , the only thing I noticed is when trying to play an mp3 file i hear nothing and all sounds from the device is gone, no more computer voices nor any other sound until next reboot and all sound is enabled, same thing happens all over when I try to replay an mp3 file, thanks

That unit has a perfectly good 9.xxx navcore. Why change it?

Fri Sep 30, 2011 7:05 pm

Because the other navcore doesn't have the media player and this new one looks better and is faster for me. Thanks

Fri Sep 30, 2011 9:09 pm

SE 9.205 has jukebox if you set it to x40 emu.

I certainly would not downgrade to an 8.xxx navcore just to get jukebox.

Did you do a clean install or an overwrite install?

I've preformed both a clean and an overwrite many time's , the thing I don't understand is the x40 emu instructions.
