Also just tried the tomtom home way but it says not for this device

TomTom loquendo voices do not have to be activated. There is a bit more involved than just putting them in the LoquendoTTS folder on your unit.

What voice/voices do you want?

I don't recall Autoactivating mine - this is the problem at my age, you do something last week and cannot remember it clearly this! As far as I recall, I 'robbed' a v9 Navcore CAB for the Loquendo folder, copied in a voice folder from the collection on Navitotal and - job done. I just had to make sure that the appropriate settings were corrrect. I'm using a different Navcore but that shouldn't make any difference. Still can't recollect activating the voice....

@ Morph,

Open TT Home, Tools, Home preferences, & click the Folders tab. In the Downloads line is the path to where TT stores downloads on your computer. My path is:

C:\Users\My Name\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\loquendovoice

Download this loquendo voice: [Please Register or Login to download file] On your computer, follow your path to the loquendovoice folder. Copy the downloaded voice into that folder. Unzip it. Try to install it thru TT Home, Add Traffic, Voices etc, Voices, Computer Voices.

djc[/QUOTE]

Yeah done the version fix and saved it as ttgo.bak
have found that ttgo.bif will not save new version
though so have to change this b4 going on tthome
then have no version error....

Once on tthome have found most buttons are not
greyed out so seem to be available, live services,
google search, computer voices etc but when click on them
says nothing available...

Maybe ive missed something, just to recap have upgraded
to bootloader 5.5259. Have done a clean install of 9.026
autoactivate with western europe v855.2884 and all ive
done is autoactivate no other patches etc...

Hey if i cant get computer voice im still over the moon
with what you have done for me.

ttgo.bif is not supposed to save the new version. The whole purpose of the ttgo.bak is to make TT Home think you are running an official navcore, so you don't get the error message. ttgo.bif & ttgo.bak should show the same navcore version. For your device, it is 7.903.

No when i go into ttgo.bif it says
ApplicationVersionversionNumber=9026
ApplicationVersion=483454.1

ttgo.bak says 7903 and 9183
respectively.

Yes this is correct ,

ttgo.bif = current navcore in use (This can not be permanantly changed)
ttgo.bak = Latest Officiall Navcore for your device
