had similar prob until he renamed ttgo.bif to ttgo.ori and vice versa
but didnt work for me....
Did notice that when i operate my go on tthome it shows the
correct app or navcore and the correct map, but shows boot
as 1.0012. But other than that havent got a clue maybe will
have to change navcores to get the computer voice, if you
get any ideas i would still appreciate them. Thanks guys:drinks:

If you have not gotten the TT Home navcore version error message issue resolved, you won't be able to download voices.
The setup on my 720 is: .bif = 8.351, .bak = 8.351 & .ori = 9.205. With this setup, I have access to ALL computer voices in TT Home. I remove the .bak & .ori files, reboot to get an actual .bif & I get the version error message & no access to ANY computer voices. I restore the .bak & .ori files, reboot & I have no version error message & have access to ALL computer voices again.

So its that clear cut then is it, maybe i will persevere then. Cant seem to get past
the issue that when you reboot ttgo.bif is rewritten to 9026....

When you make (bak) and (ori) files are they bif files called bak and ori, the ones i have
are notepad files called ttgo.bak and ttgo.ori...

first of all, make your PC isnt hiding file extensions.... ==> [Please Register or Login to download file]

then your files should be set this way --> [Please Register or Login to download file]

The files must not be saved as notepad files, you just use notepad to edit them, as eskro sais above "show file extensions" in windows, and then remove the .txt from the end of the ttgo files

so new files are bif files called ttgo.bak and ttgo.ori, that might explain
my issues..Cheers chaps.

P.S as far as i know i have not patched tthome, does
autoactivate do this automatically?

Sun Sep 26, 2010 9:39 am

If i only need to patch tomtom home do i need to copy fastactivate to root of my device
or can i just run it from pc.

Many thanks for that pietu

if you patch only TomTom HOME you can run it anywhere

( navcore patch work same way if someone want, just copy fastactivate same directory with ttsystem/PNDnavigator )

Open your ttgo.bif file with notepad. Make the lines 9 & 10 changes, then Click File, "Save As" ttgo.bak. That's all there is to it. My file extentions are not hidden, and there is no .txt issue.

Patching TT Home is only needed to run "Operate my device". If you could use that feature, when you were using navcore 7.903, once you get the .bif, .bak isuue settled, you will be able to use "Operate my device", without patching TT Home.

I will try again tendriver when i get home from work but do you understand what i was getting
my ttgo.bif was shown on my pc as just "ttgo" and when you move mouse over file it says bif
file. When i made ttgo.bak my pc shows it as "ttgo.bak" and when i move mouse over it says
notepad file.

Was thinking of tomtom home patch as my actual bootloader
wasnt showing when in "operate my device"

1. Yes, I understand. To correct that, open Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, click the View tab, uncheck Hide Extenions.
2. TT Home "Operate My Device" always shows bootloader version 1.0012, when using a patched navcore.

Hello gents,

good news is ive got the ttgo files working now
the file extensions are showing thanks for that.
After a reboot ttgo.ori is created with correct
numbers in it so thats all good but unfortunately
ttgo.bif reverts back to its original numbers also
i.e. 9026 and 483454.1 and then get app error
when logging in to tthome.

Have tried saving it but it just changes back..

again thanks for your help guys
