Even tried plan b with the new model.txt and still no joy
I think what i should do is get another 4gb sd card and
try from scratch again do you agree?

1. OK, let's try this 1 more time. Delete the .bak & .ori files. Open ttgo.bif with notepad. Change lines 9 & 10 to 7903 & 9183. SAVE AS ttgo.bak. Reboot.
After rebooting, if the .bif file still reads 9026 & 483454, then go to plan B.

2. Plan B. Hope you meant version.txt & not model.txt. Confirm, that for Plan B, you deleted the .bak & .ori files, copied the version.txt file into the root of your device & rebooted.
The results are???

I concur with djc. No new card needed.

Hi all the results are in....

1) After deleting bak and ori files and editing ttgo.bif and saving as ttgo.bak.
Rebooting reveals version error still when logging on to tthome and no computer
voices, closer inspection reveals bif file reads 9026 and 483454.1. bak file
showing correctly and no ori file at all.
Changed bif file to 7903 and 9183 and without rebooting opened up
tthome and have no version error displayed but still no computer
voices either.
2) With bak and ori files deleted and version file in root. a new bak
file is generated with correct no's in, but bif file shows 9026 and
you guessed it no computer voices. Tried this again with and without
inclusion of model.txt file as well but still same result....ho hum

2)

3. SE NavCore = 9.205.547817.1
4. Map = Europe 865.3245

If you have Switchfiles.zip, or any of the files inside it on your unit, delete all of them. Also delete the Outsourced folder if present. Do not remove the .bak file. Reboot.

I would still like for you to do the following. It may help us with this problem in the future.
If you have Switchfiles.zip, or any of the files inside it on your unit, delete all of them. Also delete the Outsourced folder if present. Do not remove the .bak file. Reboot.

Have tried what you said have deleted switchfiles zip and outsourced folder
and left everything else untouched, after reboot bif contains 9026 bak/7903
and ori/9026 so effectively no change...tthome still shows version error
and no computer voices....not good news im afraid.

No, but this might help you. If Auto Day/Night is not working, change x40 to x50. x40 gives me Jukebox, but no Auto Day/Night. X50 gives me the reverse.

Thanx again for your help.
