yes it have, but if I use the SD card with a map, the navi is much more slower (not only the refresh rate) than if I use the internal memory in TT device, cause of that I`ll prefere to use internal memory with EE map..

Hello to all the GPS experts here and thank you very much for all the great work done here.

I have a TomTom XXL 540 with original Navcore 9053 and upated with 865 maps (AU, NZ) using FastActivate, all from Navitotal downloads.
I have some problems after downloading from here & auto installed SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar (Widescreen ONLY) yesterday.

1) No sound from all voices selection except the drum roll on reset.
2) Double icons of "Help Me!", one on menu page 1 of 3 & another on 3 of 3
3) Double icons of "Map Corrections", both on menu page 2 of 3

I have been following the earlier threads #202 from Oldace with the same XXL 540 sound problem and tried some suggestion offered here but still no joy.

One slight difference to Oldace sound problem is that I can select the warning beeps and there is sound, however if I attempt to change the volume level or voice type, going back to changing the warning beeps will not have any sound at all.
Another observation here, if the warning beeps are working, I can switch off the XXL 540 via the top button and it powers down within 5 seconds, and stays off.
However, if I had tried to change the sound volume even once, power down will take just over 60 seconds and then it restarts on it's own within 5 second and then the yellow re-boot bar with the HDD icon will appear on the lower screen (just like if an update have been applied), and the warning sound works again.

Would greatly appreciate any other suggestion you can offer here to get this XXL 540 working right.
Have not tried the version file or changing .bif file option yet. Not sure what number to change.
Connnecting to TomTom Home works OK but in adding computer voices TTH only shows 2 out of 3 computer voice on device.

By the way, I also would like to upgrade TT Go 910 (20GB HDD) and TT XL 250 Starter to a better, full function SE version, any sugggestion to which SE I should download and use.

Thanks again and sorry for the long thread posted here.

Regards
wcs333.

1. OK.
2. Big mistake. There was no advantage in installing 9.205 & you gained nothing but problems.
3. Remove 9.205 & install your 9.053 backup.
4. 9.205 is OK for you 910.

Hi tendriver,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply.
Ok, I will install the original 9.053 from backup.
I was hoping to upgrade to 9.205 because it had the option to select fixed favourite destination via new icons on startup, looks great.

As for the Go 910, I will try to install this same 9.205 when I get a chance later.

What about for the XL 250, any suggestionon as to which SE I should download or is the original Navcore the best at the moment just like the XXL 540?
By the way, I was looking at the 860 maps and noticed that the China maps requires a Chinese Navcore Version, can you please provide more information? Would like to visit China and Taiwan in the near future and it would be good if I can take one of my TTs with me and not be going around in circles in unfamiliar territories. :)

Thanks again for your time & advise.

1. I am very familiar with 9.205, but don't know what you are referring to: select fixed favourite destination.
2. i don't recommend using the autoinstall on 64MB RAM models like a 910.
3. What navcore is on it now?
4. What more info do you want?

1) Original 9.053, saved favourite destinations are listed in rows within the favourite star icon.
However in 9.205 there is an option to set TT to startup with some most-used favourite listed by icons like home, work, schools, students etc.
This is feature is found in the 'Ask for a destination' in the 'Start-up preferences'.
2) If auto install version is not recommended, can you pls direct me to the correct manual install version for the Go 910. Thanks.
3) XL 250 currently is / App 9.151.605385.2 / OS 541764 / Boot 5.5275 is this best setup for the unit now?
4) Unsure if loading the China 860 & Taiwan 865 maps with current English Navcore on my units will be ok.
Navitotal 860 map download site says it needed a Chinese Navcore Version to work.
I have installed Taiwan 865 on XXL 540 but street names are blocks of square icons.
Where and how do I get the Chinese Navcore onto my TT units or which one of the 3 TTwill be able to accept the Chinese Navcore?
Thanks for helping a noob here.

1. OK, I know what you are referring to, I just didn't understand, the way you worded it.
2. Latest Navcores Download the 9.205.cab & X_ttsystem.9.205.547817.1.rar
Copy the .cab files over your current 910 navcore, overwriting any common files. Copy the ttsystem & PNDNavigator files only, from the .rar to the 910, also overwriting any common files. Patch the map. Disconnect and reboot.
3. Keep it.
4. Can you read Chinese?

1) Please excuse me for the incorrect wording, anyway, is there a way to add this feature into the 9.053?
I have rolled back to 9.053 and when connected to TTHome, a newer version 9.061 was offered as a download.
Now XXL 540 is running 9.061 and visually not much different from 9.053 version.
2) Thanks for the info on the Go 910, I will download & try it later (my broadband speed is limited now).
3) Ok and thanks.
4) Yes, I did learn the language in school years ago but now both my children are enrolled in the Chinese language class as a Year 12 subject and they will be travelling with me. Any chance of directing me to the download site and some guidance as to which of my 3 TTs would work best with the Chinese Navcore? Thanks again.

1. Make a backup of 9.061. Download the attached .rar & copy the 2 files into your unit. See if this gives you the favorites option.
4. Look for navcore 9.135 in the Latest Navcores thread.

1) Thanks but I cannot seem to locate the .rar file from here. Can you please re-attach?
4) Yes, thank you, downloaded 9.135 and will try soon but the Navcore title suggest this is for my XXL 540 and XL 250 only.
For Go 910 should I be downloading 9.134 for GO series?
