1. After reading this thread am I right in thinking that the optimum setup for my TT One XL is navcore 9.205 with UK map 870.3417?
2. I'm awaiting a 4gb card so I'm limited in what I can do at the moment but I was going to update the navcore to 9.205 whilst still using UK and Ireland 845.2667 (the original card isn't big enough for 3417).
3. On reading the map chart 870.3463 has CSpeech is that possible on my hardware or is it possible to have spoken street names another way?
TT One XL, Navcore 8.010, Bootloader 5.5237, GPS 1.21, Map 845.2667 UK and Ireland
Cheers in advance
Fisher21 wrote:1. Thanks for the quick response tendriver, what would you class as the optimum NC and what extra features would 9.205 have over it for the sake of (I'm guessing) a drop in performance?
2. It's the original TT card mate, I'm guessing it's around 256/512mb, it holds the 845.2667 UK and Ireland map but falls short by about 40mb when trying the 3417 map
3. Ahh, I thought the CSpeech was spoken street names, excuse my ignorance although it's maybe a good thing mine doesn't have a mike, the amount of swearing I do at it at the moment for not having streets that are now 3-4 years old.
Edit, it's a 256mb card

I must post this to encourage other that may be afraid to try this.
This is what I did.
1Copy all your tomtom files including the hided ones to a folder to save it.
2 insert a 2gb memory in the tomtom and copy all the files back to the memory including the hided ones.
3 run navcore on the tomtom memory.
4 open the tomtom memory files, look for the activate icon and run it.
5 done…
enjoy a new tomtom gps unit with a lot more things to play with like music, pictures etc. and if you want go back to stock just boot the tomtom without the memory card. Sorry for the bad English and thanks again
shinichi_nguyen wrote:I checked with Windows Explorer and it's a 1GB built in memory and there is only about 80MB free left. Ok, so I want to wipe out and install/set up a clean one with a newest map.
shinichi_nguyen wrote:I do have a card and I also checked the size of the map of US and Canada, it's only about 800MB so I guess I'll go with it. But I need a guide to upgrade the system and put a new map in correctly. I mean I want to make best out of this GPS. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
