Hi there,
I've downloaded the TomTom Central Europe v970-maps. It is the 970.7466.
After installing it on our TomTom, I noticed that all the countries are present, except France. Could this be an download fault (downloaded from this site), an installation fault or has TomTom just forgot to add France to the maps?
Kind regards,
Buterbreagrienetsiis

Please check and give us the name of the map in your gps once installed...
Maybe it's an error and it's the map Central and Eastern Europe who don't include France...

I agree something is wrong...

Haha, glad to hear :P
But, do you know what is wrong?

No, nothing is wrong as such. TT have made a few changes to map coverage over the last couple of Europe map series which has caused a lot of confusion.
It was done due to map size constraints but some of the countries they've left out on certain maps seem a bit strange...this is one of them.
Have a look at my previous posts 20, 22 and 23
here and choose a map that includes the countries/features you need.

Thank you for the information. I think it is stupid of TomTom to do so.
Another question. If I download two map zones, is it possibly to navigate flawless between those two maps, or have I to manually select the right map with the country where I am at that moment?
I'm thinking to download the standalone map of France, but if the zones work flawless togheter, that would be a better idea.

Unfortunately you have to switch between the maps manually...

That's too bad
Thanks for the info to both of you, I will download France

Just for your information:
I have downloaded Europe Central Zone West. On this map there is France en The Netherlands (where we live), so we don't have to switch anymore between maps.
EDIT: typo
