2740

These are the registry entries from my "MobileNavigator" type device, I left them as .reg files, but you can open them with notepad and check them on your device using a registry editor like total commander or TRE.

Don't double click them on your PC or they'll be imported into it's registry

The registry entries in the Mortscript you posted i think were for WinCE6 Double Din devices, which have a different set of problems with Tomtom.

If it still freezes at the same location i would have said it's too many POI's, a corrupted map or there may be hardware issues.

I have decided to accept defeat with this one. my reg settings were the same as yours FBF. all my POIs are switched off and I downloaded another map but still same problems.
I will just stick with Primo 1.2 as my main navi programme and Sygic as my backup.
Thanks FBF and Senrap for your help

Well I decided to give this another go.have it working to some degree now but wondering if anyone knew the following:
I re-installed an old back up I had of vers 7.9109185 with Map: 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_840.2563'. i input 18 different routes and all worked all day ok. I then closed down the satnav and then restarted it and input my journey home. The satnav froze after about 1 minute. I then deleted the ttnavigator.bif files, 1 on my residentflash, 1 in the root of my memory card and 1 in my navigator folder, when this is done tomtom works ok again but when I shut down then restart and input a new route it freezes again.

There appears to be a simple solution to this problem other than having to delete the ttnavigator.bif files every time but I cant find it, surely someone has a fix for this.

Should there be 3 identical ttnavigator, bif files 1 on the residentflash, 1 on the root of the memory card and 1 in the navigator folder?

Why does it work fine as long as I delete the ttnavigator.bif files?

Thanks

TTNavigator.bif will be placed on every drive and in the navigator folder when Tomtom starts, If all you need to do is delete them then use Mortscript to delete them before running Tomtom

Delete ("\Resident Flash\TTNavigator.bif")
Delete ("\SDMMC\TTNavigator.bif")
Delete ("\SDMMC\Navigator\TTNavigator.bif")
Sleep (500)
Run ("\SDMMC\Navigator\Tomtom Navigator.exe")

I've no idea why deleting them makes Tomtom work???
