TOMTOM GO720 frozen at main menu

Postby Zsula55 » Tue Jul 27, 2010 12:13 pm

Hi,
My problem is that one of my friends just gave me a TOMTOM GO 720 couse he deleted the internal drive...
Okay I said, no problem, I've downloaded from navitotal the 9.026.go950.CAB-navcore-GO.cab and 9.036.go950_t.CAB-navcore-GO-LIVE.cab. Extracted it to Internal drive. reboot.
Everything seems to bee ok. Copy map, patch it with easyuse, reboot. Founds map.
Clock/GPS/Way buttons works but when I tap on the map to enter main menu it freezes, waits 5 sec and reboots. Tryd with both navcores, different maps, also used tomtom clearflash tool but nothing helped.
Any idea? PLZ HELP!
THX

You didn't mention using a pre-patched ttsystem file.

Here is a link to the 9.026 pre-patched ttsystem file

I've copied also the correct pre-patched ttsystem file, SE_ttsystem.9.026.483454
I've also played with config folder
after clean install I used easyuse to patch ttsystem.
Same thing... boots, starts, shows map, when i tap on map it fades a little bet gray reboots in 5 sec.

A 720 doesn't need a config folder.

You can't properly patch the ttsystem file in a navcore that is not meant for your device.

OK Great. Enjoy!!! FFR, a 720 doen't need any of the extras in a basicpack, ie Outsourced, Switchfiles.zip, etc. Just use a .cab file & a pre-patched ttsystem file.
