TomTom Go750 update navcore for use 1035.9675

Postby bouncer1980 » Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:06 pm

hi Guys

i found an old tomtom go 750. In the past these are the steps I followed:
- I copied the content of the ROOT of the tomtom to my sd
- then went to tomtom home, got the latest navcore legal version.
- run ydgPatch
- now my navcore was patched and i copied the new card + meta.txt to the root of the sd and then ran the easytool.

With my own tomtom go 750 the card updates still work because for about a half year ago I updated the navcore with tthome and I had the newest version without the 0:00 time issue.

I tried yesterday with the tomtomgo 750 of my parents, but tomtom home doesnt support it anymore. How can I get the latest navcore on this sd and how to patch it? ydgpatch is very old.
Fastactivate? But how do I get the 9.541 navcore? Can i copy it from the other tomtom go750?

thanks

Hi.that doesnt work. I guess because the device ID is not the same on the SD card data as on the root. Think this has something to do with the ttinfo file?

It should be no surprise that we've got all of the navcores available here & members can find them in the navcore section.

However, you can download the official NC 9.541 for the Go 750 direct from TT on the following link...then use FastActivate to patch it:

When you say ttinfo...do you mean ttgo.bif? If so, no, the ttgo.bif file is written or updated every time the TT boots up so don't worry about that.

If you want, you can just extract the archive to the root and overwrite all files...then patch it

No I meant the TTSystem file. Sorry for the confusion. I thought this file had the device ID stored inside. And with the wrong TTSystem it wouldn t work.

Because I copied the whole SD of my working device to the SD of the second tt750 but that gave me the warning that the card wasn't for this system

No, the device ID is not stored in the TTSystem file...it is stored in the ttgo.bif file.

I think the error message is relating to the ttgo.bif file. The second Go 750 has recognised that the SD card is from another device and that will be because of the ttgo.bif...If you remove that file from the SD card, it should be ok?

I think all of this is an overly complicated way of doing things. Personally, I would back it up & wipe it & start again with the official navcore I linked you to with a brand new 1045 series map...then copy back all of your voices or other stuff from the backup. Doing it that way would only take 10-15 mins and you would be done by now

Ok I will try that last advice tonight. Voices are only stored in the Voices folder or also somewhere else?

You're welcome...so that other members can learn from this as well, what did you do?

Did you just remove the ttgo.bif from the SD card or did you wipe it & start from scratch?

I formatted the SD.
Then copied the official navcore from your link to the SD.

Next I started my TomTom to generate the bif file.

Next I ran fastactivator on SD to patch the navcore, then copied the map to the SD and with fastactivator activated it.

That's all
