Tomtom keeping restart

Postby hgw7 » Fri Dec 20, 2013 4:38 am

8 hours ago i have downloaded this map `Central_Europe_920_5241 with Automatic Installer & Patcher ` from this forum.

and i tried to update my tomtom xl iq.

i delete old map, i put new one, and i run `TAASE.EXE` as administrator. all is ok.
but when i restart tomtom, it says ´there is no map´...

i tried FastActivator, step 1 2 3, but still tomtom says it cant found any map.

and than i do software update with tomtom home. i put the map file, and tried to activate again with FastActivator, and TAASE.EXE also.

now tomtom keeping restart, i do hard reset (keeping power button 20 sec.) and i delete currentmap.dat but still restarts.

im waiting for help, 5 hours later i must drive more than 850km :(

1. if you don't know the right procedures you should not not try to update before a trip
2. make sure you have:
a) a ttgo.bi in the root of the device
b) the map files located in a folder in the root of the device - not in another subfolder
c) you use the latest version of FastActivate as linked in the map thread
Patch the newly updated Navcore and activate the map.
