TomTom XL Live IQ Routes Problem

I have problems with TomTom XL Live IQ Routes model.
When I put another Navcore e.g. 9510 on the TomTom the display is scrolling and will not stop.
Afterwards it is very tricky to make contact via the USB cable to see and change the internal 2Gb memory.
At last I could write back the backup I made before.
Annyone known with this problem?

That's a strange problem...if you've got a backup, I would wipe the device and connect it to TomTom Home software & let it install the latest official navcore and go from there

The owner does not want to try it once more. He is glad that the TomTom is working again, because he does not take the risk that the device becomes dead.
