TomTom Map Deletion

Wed Aug 14, 2013 8:20 pm

I deleted the map on my TomTom XL N14644. I've been trying to find a cheap (preferably free) way to reinstall the map onto the device; however, I think that my device is so old that no one has it anymore. Does anyone know how I can upload the map back onto the device? The only thing I know about the map is that it was for USA, Canada, and Mexico. I'm not sure about the version. I do know that it had files in the maps folder that were called fuel stations, which I have not seen any of these files in the newer maps. Hope this helps! :)

You got nothing to worry and you've come to the right place to get your TT on the road.

You can update your device's application (the NavCore) via TTHome and after that you can install a custom NC by downunder.
You can install the newest map. 910 is the latest issue and this month v. 915 will appear.

If you want advise:

There are various topics with people with your type of XL which have updated (and upgraded) their devices.
You will succeed too.

NEVER post your DeviceID or DeviceSerialNumber!! I deleted them for you.

1. Not so!!
2. Yep.
3. You have these 3 choices. United_States, USA_and_Canada & USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P
4. Fuel Prices is a subscription add on.

I think my problem is I didn't activate the map I downloaded. I'm downloading US 905 map now because it has a meta code.
