TomTom map Europe_2GB_895.4438

Wed Sep 05, 2012 12:49 pm

Hi!
I have problem with this map:
Europe_2GB_895_4438 with Automatic Installer & Patcher
; Europe_2GB_895_4438
1F F7 56 79 05 80 FE 44 25 40 52 EA 2F 0F E1 7B Europe_2GB-609.meta

I install it like you told:
Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions:
Maps with “Automatic Installer & Patcher” are a Navitotal Exclusive Product.
Before you begin back up your SD card. The only file you need on your SD card is a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file.
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sd card in your sd reader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched.

But when i try to use it at my TomTom GO720, it says: Can´t use Europe_2GB-609.meta.
I have try map 880.... and 885.... and the same. Can´t use.

Can you help me?

This is the classic message when a map has not been patched. To confirm this, look in the 4438 map folder. NO .meta.dct file = NO patched map.

Td : FYI

There has been (and I believe still is) a problem today getting an updated meta.txt Fastactivate keeps reporting an access problem then 'dropping back' to the existing local copy which does not of course have the latest codes. Before you ask, there is NO problem with internet access at my end.

There are also problems with access to several differerent map file 'segments' on FileFactory. It appears that one of their servers may be down. The non-accessible segments have been consistently unavailable over the past 36 hours or so.

Happy day

Fastactivate no longer has the meta.txt update feature.

Put the attached meta.txt file, FastActivate 1.8.9.0 & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the 4438 map folder. Patch the map by running Fastactivate.
