TomTom One 3rd edition

Postby JonasRT » Wed Aug 07, 2019 4:31 pm

Dear,
First the info over my TomTom One 3rd edition
There was no SD card (reader) in this TomTom
Navcore v8.010
Maps: Benelux (v945) -> this is a legit map bought on tomtom home.

I was reading various topic's here over the TomTom One 3rd edition.
I was searching for a solution for the next problem: what i want if i start the car that the TomTom automaticly start up. (new TomTom's have this). Is there a possibility to get this on this TomTom (that would be verry nice).

And i have a long time a big problem, the tomtom says there is no usable gps signal. But today i have the TomTom completely resetted and it works (currently).

Since the WNRO the time always came on 00:00 it wasn't really a problem for me.
But i was reading here and i read in a topic that there was a possibility to upgrade the Navcore to V9.451 and then the time works back again? (Reason why i start this topic before i update: I was reading on internet and i see for this tomtom you need a special version of V9.451 with swap memory.)

If so can someone give me a clear explanation on how to do this?

Thanks in advance

I'm afraid your One will be very slow with 9.541
But 9.510 for 32mb devices will be the solution, at least I expect it will work for you too just like mine
But the WNRO will be your biggest problem, the best thing to do is short before you plan to use the One
connect it with your pc and run QuickGPSfix like I do with my Rider v2
Setting the battery saving option you're able to automatic switch off and on

Hello,

I will thank you for your answer!

I had honestly already thought about whether it would be slow because 32MB ram is very little so I was searching on Google and I found a topic on a different forum where everyone was positive about a modified version for the 32MB ram versions , so I don't really know what to do.

URL to the topic: Posting links to other forums is forbidden!
Is this a good idea to install this 'modded' version to my TomTom one?
This modded navcore comes with a 16MB swapfile and has been the most smoothest in terms of performance out the ones I've tried for the latest patch.

But if its better to intall 9.510 do you can explain me how to do this? (Or a link to a tutorial or something) And the download URL to the firmware.
Thanks in advance

First, don,t show links to other forums (against the rules).

About 9.510 is possible to power it on automatically if you start
your engine (is not 100%).

9.541 SE has no possibility for an auto startup but works fine on a
one (time oke)
and has enough memory.
So the choice is yours.

But lets talk about the 9.541 SE

1) Make a backup of your Device and delete the content.
--
2) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your Device.

[Please Register or Login to download file]
--
3) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"
--
4) Download the selected map Benelux 1030_9524
noref.php?url=https://www.filecrypt.cc/Container/9F62243212.html

Unpack (with winrar o.i.d.) and copy the files and folders to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
(plain map no speedcams,poi,etc)

5) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your device
http://www.navitotal.com/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=19452

Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 1
Select 2
Done.

We like to hear the result Good or Bad

Hello,

I have installed it on my TomTom one 3rd edition and i need to say it works good!

I was trying to install it on my very old TomTom GO (4d00.001) but i was come to step 4 i want to copy the map Benelux, but then i get the message the memory is to small

Memory of this tomtom is 119mb and that is very very small what is the best that i can do?
EDIT: I was just trying it and with a 1GB sd card it works

Thankyou

EDIT:
My TomTom one 3rd edition work good but i have next option in settings turned on: "switch off automatically when the power fails" but he doesn't go off when de power falls off.
Is here a solution for?

I tested a similar combination today but using France Zone3 1030.9519 (because that's the one I had and with a meta). It works a treat and I cannot say I notice any lagging other than the usual going around a roundabout too fast tomtom not keeping up. It keeps the correct time and obviously shows the journey lead time.
In short a TT One with 32MB works pretty well with the navcore linked above and sub 400MB maps.

Yes, now the navigiation shutdown when i leave the car :)
The only bad thing is that it does not start automatically, but it is an older navigation system.
Everything else is actually perfect, I am actually more interested in these older systems, I also have a new TomTom, but I find the older systems clearer in their menu.

But still I would like to thank you all for your help

Hello,
I am just 1 thing forgetten the speedcams, on my old version i had premium speedcams (i had paid for it) do i can have these on the new version?
I have looked on the speedcams topic here and i found speedcams of Europe, but i have only the Benelux map. Is this a problem?

A second question is there really no possibility to enable automatic start-up in this version (9.541 SE)?

Thanks

You should look at the official TT speedcams in the following thread...all the information you need is there:

topic6933.html

So far nobody has modified the new NC 9.541 to enable automatic start up...maybe in the future though

Okay thanks for the information, the speedcams was already successful :)
For the automatic startup, we will see in the future.

But now every time i start up the tomtom i get the message: Legal notice
Something like this:

I have tried to deactivate 'show safety reminders' but i get still the message.
I have this setting turned of:

Thanks

There is nothing you can do about the legal notice that comes with the newer navcores
