TomTom One 3rd edition

That is a pity here the notification really stays there until you press OK (it does not disappear after a while), with the old version I could turn it off via the settings. To be honest, I expected it because I didn't find anything on the internet to switch it off (for this version).

Hopefully in the future someone can change this to make these 2 comments possible

It is actually already a very nice thing that I could already upgrade the TomTom to this version :)

You can give the 9510 Autostart a try.

[Please Register or Login to download file]

After install go to the folder Ephem and click the !QuickGPSfix.exe

When the autostart works the problem can be an GPS fix.
If it take to long before you got a fix go to
mainmenu 4 of 4 and tick the WNRO Icon and hopefully you got a fix.
Play with it and hopefully it is usefull for you.

Today i have found on a other forum a version Navicore 9.541 with autostart, this morning i have installed this version and the autostart works and the GPS time works also and the version is 9.541.

Hello,

The TomTom still works good with this navitore (9.541 with autostart).

But is there a option to use TMC with traffic info? I have read some things here but TomTom says on [Please Register or Login to download file] that traffic receivers no longer are supported on Navicore 9.400 or higher?

If well what for tmc receiver i need?
The old traffic receiver with the old connector

Or a traffic receiver with the mini USB connector?

This is the bottom of my TomTom:

Thanks

I can't be sure that it works in the Netherlands but it certainly does in the UK...download roflmonster's file and give it a go:

Use whatever cable you have available

Okay thanks for the information.

Is there sometimes a simple possibility to edit the menu?
On the first page i have now 'TomTom services', is there a possibility to move this to the last page and set in the place of TomTom services GPS signal? Now for GPS signal i need to go deeper in the menu and i don't can use the Tomtom services because this TomTom doesn't have Live services. So it would be handy if GPS signal were to appear on page 1, I have already looked around on the internet and I would have to set up a whole new menu for this, I read. Is there no simple way to put GPS signal in place and that Services on the last page.
Thanks!

Try this alternative
Changed over to x30 mode
click in the right under corner
In the screen you get click in the right upper corner
on satellite and you are in the the GPS screen

Hello,
Thankyou @Holyhead for the tip.
I have tried it and i have clicked in the right upper corner but i don't get the GPS satelite screen + its back the old icons and the old brown menu.

But okay, momently i have set it back to x40.
When i had installed the navicore 9510 from you then i had on the first page the GPS-status button.
But now i am on 9.541 (with autostart) and i go hold this version these works very very good :)

I think I'm just going to stay off, it just works very well. I exceptionally need the GPS signal button once to check how it works and usually after I look at the GPS, he already has the signal 30 seconds later.

In 80% of the cases I switch it on and it has a GPS signal within the minute, so I almost never need the button.

thanks

I have change the menu a little and the GPS is on page 1.
Give it a try unpack and place the folder SdkRegistry with content in the root of the device. Reset and start.
If it not works or you don,t like it you only have to delete the folder SdkRegistry.

Hello,
I have been using the TomTom for a while now and I have recently noticed that the TomTom is more difficult to receive a GPS signal, once it has it it goes well in 80% of the cases but sometimes it shows on the map that you drive through the fields instead of the street. (And then he indicates 3 or 4 satellites with GPS status)
Yes, there is no cause for the place where he is, because he has always stood here and always worked well.

I had read on another forum that I would have to update the bootloader to a certain version and that he would have to find a much faster GPS signal.

I have never used the Quickfix GPS because I just would not have time for this, if I have to hang it every week on the PC it becomes difficult, we do not use it often to navigate but I start it every time I drive it .

Thanks

No, it's not the bootloader...they're probably referring to a firmware flash if you have a SiRFStarIII chipset:

I think yours has a Global Locate chipset though...

GPS type: GL -> That will be the Global Locate chipset?

Yes, so sadly the firmware flash is not applicable for your device

Hi,

I've been testing the 9.541 SE (standard voice) on an XL30 with mixed results.
I took it to work. 40 miles and no problems. On the way home, it lost the signal and started to play up. Impossible to get it working again whilst driving.
It eventually started working again after a few soft resets.....and some patience.

I notice that the menu is slightly different from my other device which uses the official 9.541 navcore.
Some things are better and some things are worse. "Clear Route" now appears in Main Menu 3/4. I haven't found the battery charging icon anywhere. I find it really useful.
Is it possible to change the SE version back to the normal layout? I could't see a tomtom.mnu file anywhere.

May have to revert back to 9.485 and live with the WNRO problem.
