i have a tomtom one xl with sd card and when i switch it on it asks for country time and then whos voice to select then it just reboots itself and goes all through it again and again, can someone help me with this as i dont know how to fix it cheers.

What navcore? What map? What were you trying to do, that caused this problem?

I was given this sat nav and was going to use it when i start my job on tuesday but it doesnt come on so this is why i posted this message for help
and i am a newbie when it comes to sat nav stuff. I dont know what navcore is sorry but as it wont come on i dont know how to get any details off it but its the older one xl with sd card and as far as i know its just got uk and ireland map on it.

2743I would suggest you try these, one at a time:-
1. Do a full windows backup before anything else (see attached)
2. Once it switches on, use a paperclip in the reset hole for 15 secs then try again.
3. Download/instal tomTom Home from [Please Register or Login to download file] then open TTHome, connect your device via the USB lead, switch on and then hit "Update my Device"
4. Download/instal/run clearflash.exe from here [Please Register or Login to download file]
5. If none of these work, delete all loose files (not folders) from the device & retry 3 above.

Hi guys can someone please help me i am new to this site and need to down load the latest map for uk and ireland that i can use on my one xl given the info i have posted below cheers.

32 MB RAM (free: 3.8 MB)
GPS v1.21, Boot 5.3026
Map: Great_Britain-Map v605.0

No one is stopping you from downloading the map you want....

In the posting from my last link you'll find most 865 maps as an installer and the normal maps are listed in the forum too.
If you don't know how to use a link it will be hard to do the next steps required.
And since you have not posted your progress in the other thread you started I really not sure how to help here...

sorry i found the maps with auto loader and tried to download 865 3246 map but must have clicked on something that i shouldn't have and picked up an irritating trojan or something i lost internet connection and allsorts but sorted now. Can you please tell me which of the 3 links i use and how to use them please? thanks for your patience.

Once you click on the link you're redirected to linksave.
There you either click on one of the container buttons (if you use Jdownloader for example) or further down where the direct links to the hoster.
For every part you see a status light on the left side in green , click in the same row to get the download.

well i've got t the 3 different links at the bottom of the link save page but what do i do next? cheers
