TomTom One v2 boot problem

Postby cfor56 » Mon May 16, 2011 5:25 pm

Hi

I have recently bought a v2 and it has a startup problem. It freezes on the splash screen.
I have looked through the forum for this problem and have tried various fixes but with no success.
I backed up the device first using Explorer.
I have tried

1. Removing all files from the internal memory and reinstalling through Home but the installation cannot be completed as the device does not boot up to complete so get flashing red cross.
2. Tried the same but left the ttgo.bif file on the memory. Same result as above.
3. Installed new navcore 8410.1218 again results in a flashing red cross.
4. Tried a sd card. Device does not appear to like them. Have tried various sizes, none sdhc, and get the graphic showing the card should be removed. I have an old card from a go500 which the device takes a step further and then sticks on the splash screen.

The device details I have from the ttgo.bif file is as follows but I have no proof of it's veracity

[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom Go
DeviceVersionHW=ONE
DeviceSerialNumber=Z14117K00639
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20061211
BootLoaderVersion=505
LinuxVersion=1713
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=6560
ApplicationVersion=7914
UserLanguage=English UK
UserName=
UserPassword=6d53ce2d

From the white config screen it says the bootloader is S5.5022.

I'm afraid I'm at a loss to know what I can do next so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
