TomTom ONE XL Hack / Maps Installation

I'm new at these things and I´m asking your help for installing a newer and better map on my TomTom.

Here are my current specs:


DeviceName=TomTom XL

DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)

BootLoaderVersion=55011

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010

ApplicationVersion=9369

CurrentMap=Iberia

CurrentMapVersion=720.1802



Could you please help me, by telling me what to do and how to do it?

Make a backup of your current setup using windows explorer.
Go here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation Read the instructions carefully. They cover the whole process.
Select this navcore: SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar (Widescreen ONLY)
Download this map.
Iberia
Iberia 855.2884
; Iberia_855_2884

So I've Installed the new navcore and everything went ok, very smooth menus. But Then, I downloaded the new map and copied it to the device and now its stuck on the welcome screen. what can I do once it runs out of battery?

Confirm that you patched the map.

And by patching the map you mean use the AutoActivate.exe feature?

yes run Autoactivate.exe from sd-card/device root directory
and check then map folder here is *.meta.dct file

yes it' s quite illegal but i don't care...
i've just downloaded
two of them (french map)
mine is actually 705.1485
navcore 8.010

For Quality Control, we don't offer support for maps or navcores downloaded elsewhere.

I installed 'SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar' into my ONE XL. That is great, but, computer voice(Vocalizer TTS) has got problem seriously. It is not working computer voices, working only recorded voices.
Anyone has got this problem same as mine??

What Navcore and Map should I dowload ?
For backing up my TT, TomtomHome backup is enought or should I use windows explorer and copy all files found in a backup folder ?

What are the steps for hacking/Patching the map ?

Malaysia_Singapore_870_3391 with Automatic Installer & Patcher from the Thread: All New Maps 870.XXXX Should be the correct map for you.


also someone Earlier in this thread mentioned their TTS not functioning correctly on their TT One XL, but their recorded voices worked fine. I have the same issue using an 870.3418 map on navicore 9.205 with LoquendoTTS and the Dave computer voice installed. The device recognizes that the voice is there, but will not make any sounds when it is selected.(the device functions fine otherwise, including sound while a recorded voice is selected)
