LoquendoTTS will not work on 32MB RAM memory units.

Hello, I have also a TT One XL, App 9.205.547817.1, OS 547200
32 MB RAM
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.4106
Map: 'Iberia' v710.1571
sd: 4GB
I updated the Navcore with LoquendoTTS following the instructions in this forum, and it seems to be working ok,

So what kind of problems does it have? maybe I haven't experience them yet.....

btw: I updated my TT One XL using Wine in Ubuntu 10.10 and as I said it works good.

I have problems adding maps, I get always the message ' You can not use this map in this device ',
after running Autoactivate or Fastactivator.... probably I am doing something wrong.....

I have been checking into this problem with the voices and languages and I get the problem when I do a clean installation of SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar in a SD card and add a map,
in the intern memory of my TT One XL I did a Navcore update, so I just installed the new one over the old one, many files are still there from the old one, and it work 100%, no strange messages at all.
But the clean installation has problems.
What I am trying to say is I do not think this is a problem of lack of RAM it is more a problem of configuration or missing files in the clean installation.

As long as all working fine be happy.
Most user experience a lack or delay with the instructions or that the map is not moving smoothly.
Often it helps to deactivate the POI's from showing up on the map.
Please check how much free Ram is available, if it is over 5mb you should be able to get a good working device.

2.1mb Ram won't allow you working navigation on the road.

I can imagine....

I will use individual maps for each area of the trip, Benelux, France, Spain, this way the ram is +/- 5MB "depends on the map".

it is better for this particular TT.

Around 5mb should work.
You try to get more free ram by deleting stuff that can't be used like the ASR folder or the LoquendoTTS / Vocalizer folder (use normal voices instead).
Also deactivate all POI's from showing on the map, that should give you fluent navigation most of the times.
If the TT starts to go slow after a while of driving or the instruction are getting too much delayed simply restart.

Hello!!
I am back home from Sevilla,
for the trip I used my TT One XL with a 4gb SDHC
and Europe_875_3613 as map.

it went perfect,
no problem with speed in the map or anything.

I have TT One XL and 4GB SDHC, but the unit do not recognize this card (SDHC -- high capacity).
Why your unit recognize your SDHC ?
Regards.

AAmsterdam has a navcore & bootloader that supports a SDHC 4GB card. Any Navcore 8.300 with bootloader 5.5015 and higher will support SDHC cards.
