When switching between internal memory and sd card on my TomTom ONE XL 1gb and, TomTom does not switch on unless I reset it with a paper clip and then when I switch back I have to do the same reset...Is this normal..

seen this on another forum delete everything from tomtom main unit and just use sd card with navcore maps etc?

You have not given us anything to work with. Please run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} Post the results here.

You have a complete setup on the internal as GetMy-CFG shows. Do you also have a complete navcore & map setup on the card?

Still having the same reset issue when switching from interrnal to card and/or from card to internal?

yes when I shut down and insert sd card it will not start up I have to do a pin reset then it loads and works...same when I shut down and remove sd card and try to load internal I also have to do pin reset then it works...
I only use the sd card when I want to try out new navcores for my one xl, then if navcore is any use I will install to the device.
I suppose I can live with having to do a pin reset now and again when a new or good navcore come out...cheers

I can only suspect a problem with the watchdog.
As long as the device is on standby and not fully off it won't start from the seperate installation.
You can try a file "suicide.dat" in the root of your device / SD.
Inside is only a number - it is the value in seconds for the device to switch from stand by to fully off.
180 would give it 3 minutes for example.
