1. copied the contents of Navcore_8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO_WORK_mod_X50.rar onto SD card OK
2. copied contents of outsourced.8395 form the SE_ttsystem.8.395.1913 includeing ttsystem file NO
3. copied over as a file Europe_Truck_860_3122 OK
4. copied over ttgo.bif from my original device backup settings OK
5. copied over fastactive 26_12_2010 prem edition v1.8 OK
6. starting from the left executed meta/maps/ttsystem/tomtomhome NO
7. restarted device and it lock on startup with tomtom logo

2. X50.rar ttsystem is already patched & you don't need the outsourced folder.
6. Meta, map & TT Home OK When you clicked ttsystem, you patched files that were already patched in the X50.rar. Copy the ttsystem & PNDNavigator files from the X50.rar into your 550 & reboot.

the ttgo.bif data will not change until you get a successful reboot. Let's semi start over. Remove everything but the ttgo.bif file and the map.

1. copy the contents of Navcore_8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO_WORK_mod_X50.rar onto SD card OK
5. copy over fastactive 26_12_2010 prem edition v1.8 OK
6. start from the left execute maps. If the map folder has a meta.dct & a tmeta.dct file, skip this.
7. restart device

Restart = reboot. Have you tried the card in the ONE XL? To do so, take the 550 .bif out, copy in the XL .bif & repatch the map.

no that didnt work but the xl on its own now has the truck nav fully working

i also took the maps out of the go live and it still wouldnt boot so it must be something to do with the navcore is it possible to edit the ttgo.bif file to read what it should do

Is the XL running on a different SD or SDHC card? Did you use the X50.rar navcore version on the XL?

That is certainly not normal. Do a "Hard Reset". If no help, try DOWNLOAD TOMTOM CLEAR FLASH TOOL HERE
