Hi,
I have the following problem with a TomTom One XL I bought. I have connected it to my PC and the SD Card was completely wiped. Nothing installed at all. I have connected it to TomTom Home and installed everything it wanted to install. After doing this every time I turn it on it shows "No Maps Installed" I have tried installing maps but I don't have a backup to restore from and no other way to install maps genuinely.
I have tried reading tutorials from this site but if I'm being completely honest I'm a complete newbie and haven't got a clue what I'm doing. Any help that anyone can offer would be massively appreciated. I would preferably like the most recent map but my main concern is just to get this unit working so even an older one would do.

We're quite happy to help you but you haven't told us which map would suit your needs? I'm guessing you'll be after UK & ROI?

If I'm right, go to this page and download UK & ROI 955.6801 (there are several links) as that is the one that will suit the navcore you've got installed on your device.

ok I have the file downloaded and extracted. What now?

Ok, you should now have an extracted folder called United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_955_6801.....copy that to your device

Now download [Please Register or Login to download file] ...extract it and copy it to your device

Then go to the root of your device & run FastActivate & select options 2 and 3 to activate the map and patch your navcore

Job done

Btw, if you want the latest [Please Register or Login to download file] , download the archive > extract the 2x Safety_Cam_UK_Premium files from within into the map folder on your TomTom > run FA again selecting option 2
