Tomtom One N14644 won t start

Postby paucarrizo » Sat Mar 12, 2011 10:17 pm

Hi, I have a Tomtom One N14644. Stupid me, I tried to add maps for Argentina by just copying them to the drive that appears on Windows when you connect the device. Not only did the folder with the map copied with weird file names and sizes, but also I can't delete them now (Windows gives an error of invalid or too long file name) and plus my GPS won't start unless I connect it as a drive. It gets stuck at the load screen (says TomTom ONE and has a picture of a racing car from the inside).
Bootloader version, if it helps, is S5.5026 clist #237739 RVCT.
The only think I can think of is doing a complete restore from Tomtom Home, but I don't have a backup and can't seem to find one on the net.
Thanks!

i don't understand, you should copy and paste map folders in windows to tomtom. thats the right way.

did you get your map from this forum ?

in your case i would connect tt to pc and format tomtom drive, then restart tomtom once, then connect to tomtom home and accept update software.

then start again with a map from this site.

just read the tutorials first
