TomTom one NavCore

Mon Apr 29, 2013 9:13 pm

What's the most up to date navcore I can get for :-

I was rather hoping I could play music on it but I installed, SE Navcore SE 8.412 and the sound didn't work. Hmm.

I seemed to have bodged it up now with no backup what's the best thing to do now.

I would simply try different Navcore/Emulation until the combination is found ;)

Please can you tell me where to download the navcores from, can't seem to find them :)

Sorry silly question it's all there except I wanted to download the 8010 but the files have been removed for copyright reasons.

I've got a couple of similar devices to yours Hxxy and i've already done what Downunder suggests. I've tried many navcores and emulations. The best I've found are Downunders navcore 9.485 with memory boost and if you want truck maps, his 9.700 navcore for 32mb devices can't be bettered. I use x30 emulation on both navcores but that's just my preference, many others work also.Downunder's navcores always give me the most amount of free ram and therefore the least lag time on the road.
Read the tutorials for more information, especially on bootloaders for the larger sd cards you will require.

If you want the old originals, there is no real point in keeping links here - you can download it with Home and patch with FastActivate ;)

Hxxy,
Why are you messing about with v8 navcores and limited maps, when your device has an sd slot. Use a v9 navcore of your choice and a full featured map with lane guidence etc. I recommend Downunders 9.485 navcore and any map of your choice. You'll find all the instructions in the tutorial section

A brand name such as Kingston, Sandisk, etc. SDHC 4GB or larger.

I've changed my bootloader as I thought that was the only way to allow it accept SDHC memory cards is there a way to downgrade it, as now my device takes for ever to transfer files to it and mostly fails. It took several hours to format the disk :( I had bootloader 5.3029 before. I don't really understand how the bootloader works, can't I just replace it with the old version ?? Oh dear !!

1. This is correct. Bootloader 5.5012 or higher is required to use a SDHC card. What bootloader did you use?
2. Why did you do this?? We never recommend formating except in the most severe cases!!
3. The bootloader gives a device it's bootup instructions.

I used this bootloader Bootloader 5.5136

from here

I couldn't find them on this site

I decided to format as there were files which I couldn't remove and I thought it may help speed up the file transfer. I'm always getting errors with the disk now too !! Is it recoverable from ?? Incidentally when I used a SD card the internal memory wasn't used but I still had the same errors. I think the old bootloader is needed !
