tomtom one xl 'navigate to' crash after update

Postby PostaL » Tue Feb 15, 2011 6:52 pm

Hello,

First I want to thank you for this great site and the good information I can find here. I read a lot and decided to update my tomtom one xl (v9)

But now i ran into some problems. First of all everything seemed to work allright. I updated the navcore to

SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar (Widescreen ONLY)

Then I deleted my old map and installed Europe_West_860_3102 with autoinstall.

Everything seemed to work fine untill i try to go to the adress and postal option "navigate to'. The tomtom device doesnt let me enter this menu crashes and restarts.
I cannot calculate routes although the calculating routes through favorites works and also the map seems to show up allright.

Im not sure what I did wrong now. Did the new mapinstall not update the postal codes and streets??

When i go into manage my device through tomtomhome I still see the map overlay of the old map. Do i Need to delete that one?? Im not even sure what a mapoverlay does.

Hope someone can help out.

My current config is this:

DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)
BootLoaderVersion=55019
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=Europe_West_860_3102
CurrentMapVersion=860.3102

My OLD config was:

DeviceName=TomTom XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL (v9)
BootLoaderVersion=55019
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8014 2008
ApplicationVersion=9372
CurrentMap=Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB
CurrentMapVersion=725.1915

thank you,
Chris

See if this takes care of your postal problem.

LATEST POSTCODES Version 860 (GREAT BRITAIN, NEDERLAND & SINGAPORE) Postcode v860

Extract and copy the "Zip" folder to the root of your TomTom.

Two questions.

What did you do?
What do you have right now?

Clairvoyancy is absent on Fridays.

There is nothing that we can do to help you, without any device specs. ie model, navcore, bootloader & map/maps. Run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} & post your results here.
