the same error as i had before Incomplete Map(s): Europe_1GB_South-788.meta => .dct ERROR (i dont know where to get a meta.dct?)
and it doesnt "freeze" it just starts loading, and then when the loading bar is about 50% the bar just goes back to 0%

When you succesfully patch a map you get a friggin' meta.dct.
Simple as that, that's the direct result of the patch itself.

No meta.dct, no patch, no working map.

Zip & post a copy of the Europe_1GB_South-788.meta file. Open your ttgo.bif file with notebook. Copy & paste the unedited contents in a PM to me.

I would say that ttsystem has got nothing to do with patching the map.
Copying ttgo.bif from another TT is also not a sensible action as the .meta.dct is made for the TT device with that ttgo.bit.

Now, every TT makes a new TT after each restart.
So I seriously doubt that your .meta.dct will be valid on your current TT, unless you restarted it before patching and it got overwritten.
Otherwise everybody could directly download that file and not use FastActivate.

I think there's probably something wrong in your NC and you need to make a fresh install.
Copying a ttsystem is a sign (imho) that you are not really knowing what you're doing.
Making a fresh install is not that difficult or not very time consuming if you closely and exactly follow the rules.
You can keep your country map folders on the TT.

But these are my thoughts, wait for comments from one of the wise moderators.

We have tutorials, instructions and plenty of info in the forum, why not make use of it??
With a bit of reading every user can find a very simply advice for such problems:
Do a clean install of Navcore and map on an empty device, follow the instructions provided with the downloads - and it will work if done correctly.
If you have a problem and you want help "does not work", "same problem" and so does not help us - we need specific informations, that includes the error message as you see them on your screens.
You need a valid meta code for the map - this will posted withing the map thread, no meta code means you can't activate the map.
You need a patched Navcore.
Both can be done very easy with FastActivate.
All I can see is error on the user level ;)

allright, after actually looking up what a "clean install" is (thank you downunder for the guide) i realised that i was missing the step of using tomtom home, after i used this the entire problem was resolved, i thought i knew how to do this as i had already successfully put new maps on several tomtom's
thank you all for your help and i am sorry for wasting all your time because of my stupidity

please lock thread, problem solved

Huh? Now it's unclear to me what TTH has got to do with your problem?

Or are you referring to the role of TTH with getting you first NC's on an emptied device?

Anyway, glad you could get it together.
Safe journeys !
