Can only see one option for download:

Download :
v1.8.8.7_21.06.2012_ALL.rar

So using that. I will advise later.

Cheers.

1. That is correct. All 3 versions are in the download. Select the Premium version.

Nope, still not working.. Staying cannot use this map... So changing map to United_Kingdom_and_ROI_885_4009 from 885_4010 using NC 9.2

Forgot to add, when I used the premium version it did say - patched already at the end.

It is now saying - No maps found!

Whilst in my hacked old binatone, no problems at all! Becoming a bit of a joke this!

I have now used all three methods and nothing!

I shall format the drive, add an earlier systems, 8.4 from here and start again... Unless someone has a better idea?

Okay, today I formatted the One XL hd and installed 8.4 with application 8.010, map would not work...

So I upgraded to SE_Navcore.9.051.503855_32mb_devices, from this site and I keep map still on sat nav and bingo, I now have a working map.

So we are now back to the original problem of not picking up satellites. I do not seem to be able to get past two (2) greyed out fixes. Which as we all know is no good for navigation.

Any further suggestions before I use my TomTom One XL as target practise?

Even thought TomTom say my device is not affected by the leap year bug, funny that I have not been able to use since 01 April 2012... I have searched everywhere to see if a downloadable bug fix is around, but to date I cannot find one.

If you get two stas to show it is not a bug.
Do a hard reset followed by the TT clear flash tool,
use Home to update the QuickFix data,
check again and give it at least 5 minutes under clear sky.

Done that sometime ago. Only managed one grey sat today, but it was all the way to the top!

Weird....

Some users reported positioning problems, so maybe your device is affected in a similar way.
But a clean install of NC and map on an empty device should solve all issues, just connect to Home and do the update so you get the latest QuickFix data.
When you start the device you should be asked for the usual setup including setting the time - do that correctly.
Now, if there are no faults, you should get the sat fix.
I've done some tests on my 730 and without correct Quickfix data the device won't find any sats.
Outdated dated causes to take up to 25 minutes until I see a lock, in the meantime there are several signals detected, but none stays for long - like a bad scanner.
Up to date QuickFix and I get a lock within 3 minutes and 5 to 8 sats.

Thanks for the tip mate, but if you read an earlier post I have done all that with no measurable response, in fact I have done it four times.

I have just put the unit on the window sill (I used to be able to pick up a brilliant signal on my dining room table), plugged into the mains and I will now select a route and wait and see what happens.

What does the yellow/black spinning disc thing in the top right hand corner represent?

If you are talking about the GPS status screen, it is for the time sync.
Only once you got a valid lock you will get the correct time, it is like a search indicator if you like.

Check the instructions [Please Register or Login to download file] .
Already helped others with a position problem, maybe the two are related and the fix will solve your problem too.

I'll give it ago, again.... Never know.

Chucking it down with rain in this part of Oxfordshire, so on the window sill. Always used to get a fix sitting there...

After 5 hours on my window sill, nothing. Disk spins but nothing.

I do have another tom xl with cracked screen, so lets go for a swap on bits and pieces and see what happens.

That didn't work as one unit is a One XL and the other a XL, insides totally different.
