TomTom One V6 - problems with Navicore/Maps

Postby pzet91 » Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:56 pm

Hello guys

I am pleased I found this website. I find it very useful however I still have this stupid problem.

I have TomTom One V6 (512Mb) - latest official navcore for it is 8070. What I need for my TomTom is a map including Poland and preferably Germany (but that is not necessary). I installed navcore 9.400.2-1020 on my TomTom and it works great, the only problem is maps. Neither Eastern Europe 895 4444 or Poland 895 4438 works - TomTom says this map cannot be used on this device~ when choosing the map (FastActivate finds them), Eastern Europe 900 4611 is not seen by FastActive at all (I have FastActive from 24.12.2012).

What should I do in this case? I just want to have new map with Poland at least, I don't really care about navcore as long as it works.

Thanks in advance, waiting for replies.

@EDIT

OK, I know why EE 900 is not seen - no meta available, but still can't find the reason for two other maps not to work ;<

Confirm that there is a .meta.dct file in the Eastern Europe 895 4444 & Poland 895 4438 map folders.

Yes, they do, Poland map works now, however it hangs and restart TomTom :p therefore I need to change navcore and map. Any suggestions? I just want to make it work having a decent map.

@EDIT

This is the first time I do such thing, so I am a bit confused. I have no idea how to choose a right navcore (and map).

Take a look at Central Europe 900.4602. It has the coverage that you require & is compatible with the navcore that you currently have installed.
