tomtom one iq routes stuck on tomtom screen

Postby mpk490p » Sat Apr 02, 2011 11:04 am

so the story goes!
brought a second hand tomtom one iq routes which was working fine, then went to update in tomtom home, since then it has been stuck at the tomtom screen, i have tried the following!
hard reset with power button (the only button it has, no reset pin button)
reformatted the internal memory (no sd card)
after the 3rd format attempt i started to get a different langue on screen managed to clear that and get the start up menu, langue time etc, once you enter the time it freezes again and resets back.
it will connect to home and via the operate my device i can get to the voice setting and no maps screen (brought the device with no maps) any help appreciated before i launch it

thanks

1. If the unit was running a patched navcore & map, & TT Home updated the unit with a new navcore, that new navcore must be patched.
2. We never recommend formatting the internal, except in the most severe cases.
3. "Operate my device" is only an emulation & is worthless in diagnosing a problem with the unit. What map did you load into the unit.

1. Now what is on the unit after the update?
2. TT Customer support is worthless, as reported by many members.
3. Your unit will not boot without a map. You don't boot it to load a map. You connect it you PC & load a map in Windows Explorer.
