TomTom ONE IQ Routes - Wont Boot!

Postby nitr0genics » Sun May 22, 2011 3:00 pm

ok, so i have a TT One IQ,

and it wont boot past the tomtom hands logo,

reset doesnt work, clear flash doesnt, NC update via TTH doesnt work

the only interaction i can get from this unit is when i format and update via TTHome to NC 8415, it will then boot and ask for my preffered language and units etc, but crashes as soon as i set the time - locks up then reboots after 10 secs????

if i update to 8415 then update again to NC 9 via TTHome it just stops at the tomtom hands logo

i have tried NC 6 and 7 to no avail (i get a boot loop with NC 6)

also i have upgraded and downgraded to the bootloader about 40 times

help? lol thanks in advance!

EDIT : seems to be a bootloader problem i think? just downgraded the BL to 0.0001 (BL i use to downgrade on other units) and it then asks me input settings but still freezes when i set time, before was just locking on tomtom hands on 8415

Use the bootloader that should be on your device and do a proper install of the original Navcore.
If still no luck send it in to TT as I would suspect a faulty memory.

i have no proof of purchase so i doubt TT will entertain me without wantin a fair few £ to fix,
