Hello chaps, just after a little wisdom before I try to upgrade my unit this weekend. I apologise in advance if what im asking is very "noobish" but I've tried to research before hand the best I can...
My device is as follows
app 8.083
Os. 343369
32mb ram, 2.3 free
Boot 5.5136
Maps v840.2561
I read somewhere on here that a chap with an XL upgraded his to run with IQ routes when it didn't come this way "out of the box". So, would I be correct in thinking I should upgrade my navcore to v9.430 (following the provided instructions!), and then change my maps to 890.4222(again, following the instructions). Is this correct practise? Or have I just spouted a load of jibberish, lol!
Sorry again for the annoying beginners questions!
Thanks, Keith.

XL's can be tricky, but in general your way is correct, give it a try.

It depends on what instructions you plan to follow.

I was going to use the "upgrading a 32mb device" tutorial on here, just wasn't sure about the navcore really, or if it was at all different to the 9.205 one listed in the tutorial.

You will not see any difference between the 2. Keep in mind that 9.205 is actually designed for a 32mb device.
