Postby scezy » Fri Nov 15, 2013 8:05 pm

Hi
i have been asked to do a couple of tomtom sat navs they are the black XL2 types.
One has version 9.150 navcore running a western and central europe v845.2645,
And the other has version 9.430 navcore running a uk and republic of ireland map v885.4009.
I seem to manage to do my own xl one ok with a sd card, but these dont have them and i dont want to naff oat up.I have backed both up but need help in selecting maps for them both and thee best navcore.
Im also not sure if i will have to delete their info to fit new patched maps and navcore or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

1. This Navcore is fine. There is not a 915 Edition map of W&CE. What is your alternate choice?
2. This Navcore is also fine. UK&ROI 915.5074 replaces 885.4009.
3. Making these backups is all you need to do.
4. See points 1 & 2.
5. Removing the old maps should free up enuf space for the new maps.

So I can leave the original navcores on each device, will I need to patch these.
Can you recommend the correct maps that will best suite each device.
Also is there anything I should beware of or do in a certain order,as I don't want to naff oat up.I wish they had sd slots feel a lot more confident.
Regards. Scezy

1. Yes & Yes.
2. See post 2, points 1 & 2.
3. No. You have backups, so don't worry about screwing up.
