Hi All, I'v got a tomtom one, that I am trying to get working for a friend but the problem is that it boots up ok but after the orange boot screen it goes to the big hand picture then just freezes and locks up and the only way to turn it off is by the reset button at the bottom, I'v triad doing the sd card but still locking up, the details of the tomtom are as follows:

(4N00.012)
sub id: 10
bootloader version: 5.3029
compiled at: oct 3 2007 16:50:40
memory: 32MB
cpu id: 32412003
clocks: 264.000 132.000 66.000
gps type: GL
sd card capacity: 249856 kbyte
internal flash: not available
start up mode: sleep
device id: z35257j02704
bluetooth mac address: 00:13:6c:5c:47:5a
bluetooth calibration: not needed
touch screen calib data: 112 914 122 874
battery boot voltage: 5000mv

can anyone please point me in the write direction as to how I can fix this problem, or is it only fit for the rubbish bin. THANK YOU.:scratch_one-s_head_

This is not the info needed.

Please post the first 12 lines of the ttgo.bif file and/or the results from TomTom Current Config for newbies {29.09.2011}

Open the device with Windows Explorer and see what is on it.

Hi tendriver
just a quick thank you first for replying so early.
I have a tomtom one xl its an old model i no firmware is 8010 32mb of ram and a sd card that came with it is 240mb i have been trying in vane to update the maps, have tried quite a few maps but no joy the thing is i am restricted to the size of the card, have tried a 4gb card in it with 9.45 navcore and fastactivate with maps and when i boot the device the screen just shows the card getting removed,to me it just looks like the wrong configuration of both firmware and hardwre is there any way round to install a bigger sd card and get up to date maps ! firmware software etc ! any help would be much appreciated, thanks again for the quick response to my first question
kind regards
dave

The secret is having a magic bootloader. Download & unzip [Please Register or Login to download file] .
You will see in it, a file named system. To update the bootloader simply copy the file named system to the root
of your internal memory or your small old SD card, whichever you are using, then disconnect and reboot. Once the reboot is complete, you can use ANY SIZE SD/SDHC card that you wish.

FYI, Bootloader v5.5128 is included in the original NavCore 8.412 for the ONE-XL.
