Tomtom ONE Third Edition Update

Postby TTone3d » Wed Feb 29, 2012 10:45 pm

I am new at this and have gotten confused following posts in this forum. I do have Easytools and Fastactivate on my PC. I have loaded a few different map files with no success. What am I doing wrong? I had to restore my GPS back to the original settings. Here is what I have now.

APP: 8.010 (9369/040301) OS: 1000
32 MB RAM
GPS v1.21, Boot 1.0012
Map: USA_and_Canada v710.1575
Language: English

What loaders and files do I need to upgrade this to a recent map file?

I appreciate any help.

Thanks

1. Forget Easytools. Stick with FastActivate Premium.
2. Can't tell you what you are doing wrong, since you haven't posted any details on what you did.

I'm having issues logging in tonight so I am on the mobile site. What i've done so far is delete all files in my TTone except for the "ttsystem" and "ttgo" files. I then dumped all of the files from the map I downloaded on to the root of my TT. I then ran the easytools as described in the threads.... no luck! The map file I used was downloaded from the link on this site and is the USA 880.3868. The legend on the download page shows this map being compatable with my system. What did I miss?

Thanks

You delete the Navcore from the device, add a map and wonder why it's not working?
You also wonder why you can't browser the internet on your PC after you deleted Windows? ;)

1. We don't recommend deleting the old navcore files, just overwrite them with new files. The ttsystem file is part of the navcore & is useless as a stand alone file. Keeping the ttgo.bif is OK for patching.
2. Did you really dump all of the new map files to the root of your TT or did you copy the new map folder to the root of your TT?
3. Didn't pay attention, I see.
4. You haven't mentioned anything about a navcore after you deleted everything, so I'M no help with compatibility.
5. What navcore & is it patched?

I did make a backup and restored it to the original. I do not know how the file structure works on these things and searching for a tomtom one 3rd edition does not yield many results. I did read that for the smaller screen devices like mine to use a v8 navcore. I would just like to know how and in what order do I install the files. I appreciate YOUR help tendriver.
