Tomtom One XL Truck

Postby wrightygolf » Sat Feb 09, 2013 7:50 am

Help !
I have been asked to put truck map on a freinds XL but am having trouble.
I put nav 8.398 and map 900.4612 on 4gb sd card but it wont boot up.
Bootloader is 55112.
Keeps trying which is very trying !
I have used fastactivate to recognise map which it seems to do but no boot.
The One XL is i believe a 32mb UK and ROI model.

Any advice please.

Not any type of 4GB sdhc cards works on one's device!
Must use an "takeMS" SDHC class2 4GB card.
Go to find to buy this type of sd card on any media shops.

You are having trouble installing?
Trouble to get it working?
Or just trouble to read the instructions and tutorials?

Just as a hint: if you don't know what you are doing, don't offer your help to people ;)

That was the point ;)
You simply don't offer other people to fix their GPS if you definately have no idea how to do it...
If would have spend so many hours searching you would have
a) noticed the current Truck Navcore is 9.700
b) that every time we see postings like yours we ask the same questions like what error is FA showing!!
c) found Truck Navcores with complete sets of instructions on how to install them

Since you still don't bother giving the vital infos we need to help you are most welcome to continue reading.

just a couple of pointers, the bootloader you mention will work, but it needs to be already in the internal memory of the device before you insert a 4gb sd card. Also you will need an SE or DSA truck navcore for 32 mb devices which can be found on this forum. I recommend Downunders navcores as they all work exceptionally well with loads of free ram. Hope you get all sorted out.

Regards.

Do you have the device's ttgo.bif file on the card?

The class is not important. A class 2 runs as well as a class 6 in a TomTom.

Current truck map is Europe_Truck_901_4683.

Either way stop offering jobs to friends if you have no clue about it or learn to use the forum.
In case you did not notice: You already had the problem, check your above postings.
