TomTom One with 34mb internal 4gb SD running slow

Postby romtang » Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:46 pm

Hi this is my first post.
I have a TomTom One New Edition with 34mb internal & 4gb SD running slow. I've flashed 3 times and that seemed to speed up a little but not much. I'm thinking the speed it's running is the quickest since it's so old?!?
Whatcha think, should I just live with it or could it be sped up?

Forgot to add:
I spent the last few weeks roaming through this site and found a lot of useful info. Thought my tt was bricked, but found a few files on the site that made my it come back to life :) Thanks to all who spend their time uploading and whatever else it takes to keep this site running smoothly!

For best results in speed is used on a TT with 32 mb RAM NavCore 8562 without ASR and LoquendoTTS folders.
Prefer to use a smaller map and not the entire Europe map.
The smaller the map, the TT faster you go.
Finally, as many NP's uncheck.

Go here: TomTom Current Config for newbies Read the instructions carefully. Run the app & post the results here.

9.101 is not a good choice for your ONE. If you want to use a 9.XXX NC, I suggest 9.205, which is designed for a 3.5" screen/32mb device.

[Please Register or Login to download file] It shows that 9.205 is for a rider not a one

I'm just looking to make it run more smooth with keeping USA map, map share & the ability to show max speed limit.

I recommend Navcore 8562 with map:
North_America_870_3406
or
United_States_2GB_870_3406
or
USA_and_Mexico_870_3406

Navcore 8.562 is by far the best navcore for a One with 32mb ram.

No problem.
Different people, different choices.

The TS can try and choose, and make his choice.
