If you have legally purchased maps, or anything on the device you should back-them-up before patching crackd things as autoactivate and other keygens activates all found items on device , You must now patch your ttsystem file with FastActivate (See Attachment) follow instructions below

• Copy FastActivate.exe to your device root and run
  
  
• Press button ttsystem/PNDNavigator
  
  
• This will patch your ttsystem and enable you to use your map again

In the mean time I have succeeded activating the speedcams.

Somewhere else there was an program 'Easy Activator 5.21' witch did the trick. (I'm not able to find it back )

Dunno i it is good idea to open this thread again but...

I just got XL IQ Routes2. As above I cannot get voice to work but (again?)... I do hear something, but it's very very silent. So sound is working but I have no idea where can I make it lauder. Of course volume on device is set to 100%.

See post 11 , This is the only solution at the moment to get full menus and keep the sound working fine

So here are my steps;
1. I tried 9.150.554646 and few others too, but still the same: voice is there but very quiet.
2. I tired voices from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?923-VOICES-LoquendoTTS-v7-(X30) still same.
3. I came back to model.txt and "ori", and voice was quiet as well. It was sorted out after resetting to factory defaults.
4. So I tried again use full menu, with and without resetting device to defaults - no success
5. Then I tried this tomtom.mnu solution, and I couldn't get access to settings to reset device. So I came back to ori.
6. Only one new thing I realized is that with full menu and with quiet voices changing volume is not changing anything. Voice is still on same low level.

I think I need to wait till someone will find good solution for it. Thanks for help.

Have you set model.txt to x40 or x50?
To minimize all upgrade problems, I copy in a new navcore over the current one, overwriting any common files. After making a backup.

I have just got an "XL IQ Routes ² / XL 350 - 2GB TTS" for xmas, very nice but I cant seem to activate speedcams. I can see it has the speedcam files in it's memory but it has the simplified menue and there is no TomTom Services option for some reason. Do they do this on purpose so we cant get the speedcams? Is there a way of getting them without patching?

Don't find a solution too for this :(

Same problem "no sound" about the speedcams don't know if that works
(don't know where that stands on the gps normally)

Just seen that the sound works in "x original mode" :p
In the other modes it doesn't.

I know this thread is old, but this info may be useful to others (this TT model is still out there).
I have a Tomtom XL 2 IQ Routes hardware model 4ET0 (sold here as "XL Mapa do Brasil"), came with Navcore 9.151 and simple menus.
Installed navcore 9.136 (thanks Giovanno), now I have many additional resources previously unavailable, including:

- Prepare route (create a route in advance)
- Itinerary planning (route with several waypoints)
- Tomtom Services (allowing speedcam configuration)
- Safety preferences
- Show compass
- Option to auto off when external power is turned off (very useful in long trips with short stops)
- Option to auto rotate map in 2D view
- Navigate to coordinates

Everything works, including TTS voices.
