TomTom Start 25 (Europe)

Postby Hinit » Wed Jul 27, 2011 8:17 pm

I've recently purchased a TomTom Start 25 (Europe) and was looking to add US maps but unfortunately I can't see this site mentioning this particular model anywhere. This has left me very confused. Is this model not very common and is it possible to download maps for it?

Thank you!

Hi, thanks for the reply. The problem is that even with my TomTom connected I cannot access it via explorer.

That's because this model uses a Linux based file system (instead of FAT or FAT32) that Windows cannot see. Therefore you won't be able to update and patch the maps like we do here. This also applies to all new models from September 2010 onwards. Read this post for more information:

Currently, the only way to update the device is to use the program "MyTomTom" and pay for the maps. Download it from the TomTom website:

[Please Register or Login to download file]
TomTom GO 730, Navcore 9.051c, 64Mb RAM, Australia 900.4602, Bootloader: 5.5250
TomTom ONE v1, Navcore 9.170SE, 32Mb RAM, Australia 900.4602, Bootloader: 5.5244
