TomTom Start (nav 840) voice problem

Postby Shape » Fri Jul 15, 2016 8:24 pm

Hello,

Just bought a second hand older Tomtom start model.
Came with original navcore 840.
Replaced original navcore with 9061 (for One).
Works fine, except for the voices. I can't seem to get them to work.

Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

Regard,

Shape

Might I suggest you install navcore 9.510, instead of 9.061.

You need a special one for the Start that suppose to solve the voice problem.

Try this one.

I tried both versions (from tendriver and holyhead).
The one from holyhead works!

The navcore from holyhead is pretty basic though.
Is there also a version that works in x40 emu?

1. They are basically the same navcore with dsa modification.
2. Downunder likes to load his up with extra goodies.
3. X40 emu is already on-board the version that I posted for you. I can't speak for the other one.

Thanks fot all the help guy's.
When i followed the advise from tendriver i downloaded 9510 from downunder.
It is an executable file which has four navcores in it. One of the navcores has a fixed sound issue which i tried.
I can't verify that we are talking about the same version, because when i search for "DSA emulator" i get al lot of hits but none a relevant. If we are not talking about the same navcore, do you perhaps have a link?

PS: I thought the x40 emu was equal to more "goodies" (options), but this is not the case since ive tried this option in de setconfig.txt.
So yes, i'm looking for more "goodies" ;-)

Forget my earlier post; I just figured it out.
It is an executable file in the root.
I clicked the file and did as you said. Works great!
Thanks a lot.
