I would go with Downunder's Universal Navcore Installer & select the 9.510 navcore.
Quote from the Universal Navcore Installer thread post 1: 9.510 - for all GO, 64mb, 32mb, XL and X10 models

Check if there is a file mapsettings.cfg in your map. If yes, delete it. If no, just try another map.

It hasnt started at any point. i deleted the .cfg file also... no change

Edit: I didnt mention before that when I turn unit on and it sticks on start screen, I cannot turn it off with the button. I have to use the reset.

@MacSpook

If you start your device without a map, it is still stuck on the start-uo screen?

And which bootloaderversion is installed?

TT Home "OPERATE MY DEVICE" should tell you that it needs to download a small file to function. Download the file, then patch TT Home with FastActivate Option 4.

I have a map installed that works in "operate my device" and Bootloaderversion=5.5274

That's not what I asked. I want to know if your device starts up without a map. Cause if it doesn't start up with original navcore and bootloader, you have a serious problem.

You don't have to remove the whole map. Just the .pna, .meta and .meta.dct files is enough.

"Operate My Device" is just an emulation/simulation & can't be used for troubleshooting1

I don't know of any TT that will "start up" without a map. Maybe your definition of "start up" is different than mine.

I want to see if it starts up till "no maps found".

If that happens he is lucky because it is a map problem
If it is still stuck on the start-up screen with original bootloader and navcore he has serious problems.

it has never gone beyond the start screen with or without a map.

The guy I got it from said it was working fine until one day it just wouldn't start up

I only mention the emulator because it has previously told me when a map is missing or incompatible.

Oké

This and what you posted in post #1 doesn't sound good. If a format and a clean install didn't work, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Also because this failure happend without any couse like an update or something like that.

But you can give it a final attemp. Use a good quality USB cable and connect it directly to your PC. Don't use a HUB or something like that. Give it a full format and after ghat connect it to TTHome. Just download the navcore, don't put anything extra in. Maybe you're lucky.
