TomTom XL (v9)

Thu Jun 24, 2010 1:29 pm

I purchased this device and updated the maps to 835.2423. I am now looking to update to USA & Canada v850.2783 [836MB]. As that appears to be the only option due to the 1 gig limitation. Am I correct in stating that IQ and ALG is not an option for US maps as they are over 1 gig? Also this devices time to destination calculations are way off and route planning has not been very good either. This could be due to the fact that known speed limits are not being displayed so therefore it can not calculate correctly. Do you think updating the Navcore along with the maps will help at all? If so which navcore do you recommend? Any links on the sequence I should follow to update maps/navcore will be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

well,, u wont get iQroutes from USA on 1GB devices...
and no, i dont think another navcore would change those calculations...
at least thats what i think,,,
so basically, u can still update your MAP to the latest version
and navcore'wise, you can get a version9 too...
improved menu look and adds the jukebox feature,,,,

Hopefully the last question.. 9.101.gk.CAB-navcore-xl.cab would be the correct navcore for my device? What would be the order navcore then maps or maps then navcore?

Thank you

no,, with 32MB RAM devices like yours you need a 32MB version of that NAvCore..

those are called SE BASiCPACK...

and theres no order... do as please :P

So, this file would be the ticket to get the latest navcore for my device? SE_Navcore.9.051.503855.Basicpack.rar
